I don't think there is a God as in a being.
I think that God is everything, and we praise it because we are gracious to exist within it.
God is a concept by which we measure our pain, and even if this is true, we still need it to keep ourselves in check.

That's the most we could ever expect of a God. Love is something most humans miscontrue and can't even understand, what sort of standard would we hold God to? I wouldn't label it love, because if by average human standards God "loved us" he'd end up leaving us for our more attractive friend.

I wouldn't label it love, because if by average human standards God "loved us" he'd end up leaving us for our more attractive friend. only if you're making the love God has for us some sort of twisted romantic love. There is more to love than that. God's copacity to love is greater than anything we can comprehend and surely more perfect and pure than our own love for each other or even for God.

I know there's more to love than that, I was saying that we have sort of a warped sense of love these days, and I would think God's love would be very different than we could understand.
